Brokers & prop firms

Your account, your keys, your firm's terms.

Which brokers does it work with?

Yours. Detent connects to your broker's or prop firm's own API with your own credentials — through the platform they already run on (ProjectX, Tradovate, Rithmic and more on the roadmap). Nothing routes through us.See the compatibility roadmap

Does it work with my prop firm?

If your firm gives you API access, yes — on your own key. Most funded-futures firms route through Rithmic, Tradovate, or ProjectX, and those are the roadmap. Check that your firm offers API access and that its terms allow a trader-owned tool before you buy.

Is this allowed by prop firms?

It's built to be. Detent runs on your own device, on your own API key, and only reduces risk after your entry — it doesn't place trades for you or chase any speed edge, which is the kind of thing firms actually ban. Rules differ by firm, so confirm your firm's API and automation terms — you own that call. What keeps it inside firm rules

Your data & control

Nothing passes through us; nothing runs unattended.

Is it hosted? Do you see my data?

No and no. Detent is a one-time purchase of software you run on your own machine. Your credentials, market data, and orders stay between you and your broker.

Can I run it on a VPS or in the cloud?

No. Detent runs on your own machine, attended. That's how the enforcement stays real, and most prop firms require it — VPS and remote servers break their terms.

What it does

It reduces risk after your entry — it never places a trade.

Does it trade for me?

Never. Entries are always yours. Detent rejects orders that break your rules and manages open risk downward: tighten, lock, close. The one thing it stages, a qualified sweep re-entry, still requires your explicit approval.See what it does after entry

Can I change a rule mid-session?

No. Deliberately. You configure the gates between sessions, with a clear head. In session they're locked, because in-the-moment you is exactly who the rules are protecting you from.

Setup & cost

Your infrastructure to set up; one-time to own.

What does setup involve?

You plug in your own broker API credentials and set each gate's thresholds to your strategy. The founder's live configuration ships as a working starting template, but the setup is yours to do. This is your infrastructure, not a hosted account.

What will it cost?

A one-time purchase. Final pricing is set when early access opens. Waitlist members get founding-member pricing first.
